Don’t mess with the Angry Birds!
It’s no surprise the cute comic-birds are angry: The evil green pigs stole their eggs and now it’s up to the feathered guys – and you – to get them back. To do this you need to load them one by one into a slingshot and shoot them with the right power and angle to make the pigs’ strange buildings collapse. Different kinds of buildings need different types of birds to destroy them: The yellow woodpecker drills right through wood, a pack of blue icebirds shatters glass in mere seconds and the black bomb-bird drops explosive eggs to blast every construct into pieces.
You might know the famous Angry Birds from mobile gaming platforms or the Google Chrome app, so Google+ made a good deal bringing that popular title to their new social games section. At first you’ll just have a lot of fun shooting birds at the pigs, but soon you’ll need precision and some experimenting with the right aim in order to destroy more complex building. Nevertheless, Angry Birds for Google Plus doesn’t get frustrating or boring at any time in the game. New on Google Plus is the “Teamwork” mode where you and your social network contacts team up to solve giant levels and beat each others score doing so. Fortunately, Angry Birds doesn’t push you to annoy your friends by sending them invites in order to receive ingame bonuses.
The 2D graphics fit perfect into the overall appearance of browser games and you’ll see fluid animations throughout the 63 single player levels. The catchy intro tune stops as soon as you enter a level, so all you’ll hear is the croaking sounds of your birds and the clatter of collapsing buildings. The simple 1-click-controls make this game accessible for everyone, whether it’s your little sister or grandma wasting some time on Google Plus.
Conclusion
The simple yet challenging gameplay, nice presentation and cute comic graphics make Angry Birds one of the best games you’ll want to play on Google+ Games. Warning: Serious addiction incoming!
